There is nothing better in the summer than grilling outdoors! It’s a staple of my family’s warm-weather living. Nothing tastes better than food that’s been cooked on a grill, so I really hate when the weather turns cooler and I have to put my outdoor grill away for the winter.
But now, enjoying delicious grilled meals doesn’t have to stop when summer is gone! And I’m not talking about a grill pan or one of those counter-top grills – they just don’t give food that “cooked outdoors” flavor that I love so much.
The perfect solution is a Thermador Professional Grill that is now featured on the Thermador Pro Rangetop, Pro Harmony Ranges and Pro Grand Ranges. Why is it so much better? Because it features ceramic briquettes and a cooking experience that more closely resembles using an outdoor grill.
It gives food that amazing crusty sear, sizzling grill marks, and smoky flavor that we love so much! Because it’s built right into the top of the range, there’s no need to bring out a new small appliance or special pan.
The Professional Grill offers fast preheat, searing that performs like a gas grill and precise control of two independently controlled front and back heating elements to sear steaks over high heat and gently toast buns over low heat at the same time. Isn’t that fantastic?
The Professional Grill grates also are designed to be placed in direct contact with the heating elements to produce excellent searing, as well as to completely cover and protect the heating elements underneath to help minimize flare-ups and oils and sauces from getting onto the elements. Juices collected in the ceramic briquettes provide genuine smoked grill flavor.
So I can hear you asking, “But what about all the smoke and spatter you get with a grill? I don’t want that in my house.” But Thermador has thought of that, too!
First of all, clean-up is a breeze – the entire grill can be taken apart for easy cleaning! The grill grates are easy to remove and can be put right into the dishwasher for cleaning, and the two grates are very manageable for carrying and cleaning.
The hinged elements under the grill can fold up to allow easy access to the ceramic briquette basket for easy cleaning, and underneath the basket is a grease tray to collect any grease that may pass through the briquettes, which can also easily be removed for cleaning. It’s simple and smart!
So don’t let the end of warm weather mean the end of grilling for your family! Get cooking on a fabulous indoor grill and keep the taste of summer going all year long!
Tobi’s Fabulous Marinade
I love to grill and this marinade has been an amazing staple for my kitchen for a long time. Enjoy it on steaks, kabobs, chicken, or whatever strikes your fancy!
½ cup balsamic vinegar
½ cup olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 Tablespoons fresh thyme
2 Tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
Grated zest from one orange
Juice squeezed from that orange
Combine all ingredients. Salt and pepper the meat, then place meat in the marinade, either in a Ziploc bag or in a container with a tight lid. Place in the fridge overnight or for at least 4 hours, turning meat at least once. When grilling, brush marinade over meat as it cooks.
