2016 has been a very memorable year for the Thermador brand, and we’re grateful for every moment. We celebrated our centennial anniversary, but we’re feeling younger and more restless than ever! Over the past year, we have unveiled exceptional new products, attended incredible designer showhomes, hosted fabulous designers from all over the country at our Experience & Design Center in Irvine, traveled to Chicago and Charleston for incredible food and wine events, and SO MUCH MORE. We would need days to recount all the amazing events that took place, but for the time being, here’s a short look back at our big year.

New Year, New Products

Thermador is known for breaking the status quo and always going above and beyond, and this year was no different. In celebration of our milestone anniversary, we went big and bold. We unveiled the 60-Inch Pro Grand® Range, an innovative appliance that not only brings power and performance into the homes of culinary enthusiasts, but also allows for incredible personalization based on the cook’s unique needs and style. Cooks can select the optimal oven configuration by opting to have two side-by-side convection ovens, or a convection oven alongside a steam and convection oven and warming drawer. On the surface, cooks have the option to select a 24” dual zone griddle, or a 12” grill alongside a 12” griddle. In addition to the 60-Inch Range, we also introduced our first under counter refrigeration options to provide home entertainers with additional preservation options that can be installed throughout the home. The Wine Reserve Refrigerator and Double Drawer Refrigerator perfectly complement existing Thermador Culinary Preservation Centers in any room.

Showing Off at the Showhomes

It has truly been an honor to work with incredibly talented designers as they incorporated Thermador appliances into their stunning and creative showhomes. This year, Thermador was featured in the House Beautiful Kitchen of the Year, Southern Living Idea House and the Southern Living Tennessee Showhome, as well as the Traditional Home Southern Style Now home and the Hamptons Showhome. Following these showhomes, we also had the opportunity to talk with the designers and pick their brains about design trends, appliances in the kitchen, what inspires them and so much more!

Thermador 101

Knowledge is power, and we love inviting our designer friends to the BSH Experience & Design Center in Irvine, where we show off the latest and greatest from Thermador. This year, we hosted groups in partnership with some of our favorite editorial teams at Traditional Home, Southern Living, Town & Country and the Hearst Design Group. We learned about a lot at these events, including up and coming design trends, what culinary enthusiasts are looking for in their dream kitchens, and how the heart of the home is evolving. We also taught these talented designers a thing or two about Thermador, our products and how we like to host and entertain our guests.

Pass the Vino

There’s nothing better than good food and good wine, and this year we had the opportunity to sponsor two incredible foodie festivals – the Charleston Wine & Food Festival and Chicago Gourmet. As the main appliance sponsor at each of these events, we witnessed celebrity chefs creating spectacular culinary masterpieces on Thermador appliances. We also interacted with guests and kept our 100^th birthday party going all year long!

Bring on 2017

2016 has been so good to us. While we’re sad that our year-long celebration will soon be coming to an end, we are ready to take on 2017 and kick off our second century on a high note.
