Outstanding kitchen design, culinary inspiration and celebration were on the menu on September 29th as Thermador unveiled the grand prize winners of its second Kitchen Design Challenge: Justin Woodward of Craftsman Kitchens, Peter Cardamone & Lynne Kaltman of Bluebell Kitchens and Linda McLain and Lindsay Hulsey of Signature Kitchens & Baths of Charleston, Inc. The announcement took place during a gala event at the BSH Experience & Design Center that celebrated the competition’s distinguished entrants.

The tremendously talented national winners, and two national runner-ups, were selected from a pool of 16 regional finalists who demonstrated unsurpassed creativity in designing a luxury Thermador kitchen for their culinary enthusiast clients. The finalists received an all-expenses-paid trip for two to Southern California to enjoy the exclusive gala event, along with $2,500. At the event, $60,000 in cash prizes was presented to the three national winners and two runner ups. In total, more than $100,000 in cash prizes was awarded over the course of this prestigious national kitchen design competition.

Due to the overwhelming number of outstanding entries, it was incredibly difficult to narrow our choices down to the few regional and national winners. However, we want to recognize even more winners by giving culinary enthusiasts and design enthusiasts the opportunity to select their favorite entries. Beginning today and running through the end of October, we will be running a Fan Favorites contest inviting everyone to vote for their favorite among 23 distinguished entrants once per day. At the end of the competition, we will tally the votes and announce who the Thermador Kitchen Design Challenge Fan Favorite Kitchens are, and we will also randomly select one of the participating voters to win a prize too! The Thermador Kitchen Design Challenge invited professional kitchen designers, builders and architects to enter their most impressive kitchens designed with Thermador appliances, and was open for entries from February 2013 through March 2014.
