With another exceptional International Builders’ Show (IBS) behind us, we’re thrilled to share some highlights for those of you who were following along from afar. This year’s show was brimming with innovation, excitement, and fun. We’ve included a round-up of top moments from IBS 2019, so you don’t miss a thing.

The Thermador booth was bursting with color and excitement. Our Entertainer’s Center designed by our esteemed Kitchen Design Specialist, Juanita Galliford grabbed the attention of many due to its bold, vintage-like color scheme and gorgeous array of products in a compact space.

The stunning Glass Care Center was a true showstopper. Guests visiting the Thermador booth interacted with the push-to-open custom paneled door and marveled at the interior design, outfitted with large wine and cocktail glasses, as well as bar accessories. Juanita captivated media tours throughout the booth with facts about the Glass Care Center’s revolutionary rubber lower rack which keeps glasses in place throughout each cycle.

The Entertainer’s Center featured more hosting favorites like the 24” Wine Preservation Column with the capability to store up to 92 bottles of wine, 3-zone temperature control providing more flexibility for different bottles at their optimum temperatures, and striking redesigned Wenge Wood shelving with an elegant presentation for special wines. The Built-In Coffee Machine was another crowd pleaser due to its flush installation, sleek design and stainless steel finish.

On day one of the International Builders’ Show, designers and bloggers from Modenus’ #DesignHoundsKBIS flocked to the Thermador booth for a tour. They experienced the new collection of Professional Ranges and enjoyed delicious custom cocktails in Thermador blue.

Day one concluded with a remarkable design retrospective from celebrated designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard. Crowds gathered to hear personal anecdotes and experience personal highlights from Martyn’s favorite designs throughout his colorful career.

The Kitchen & Bath Industry Twitter Chat (KBTribeChat™) was welcomed at Thermador on day two of IBS. This engaging live twitter chat featured questions regarding technology trends, personalization and innovation, garnering unbelievable amounts of in-person interest and social interactions.

And smart appliances and innovative technologies were highlighted throughout this year’s show. The Thermador Connected Experience by Home Connect™ captured the attention of all who stopped by the Thermador booth. Intrigued by Home Connect™ culinary content developed by select partners including Food & Wine and ButcherBox, guests learned how Home Connect™ provides consumers more ways to personalize and experience their culinary journey thanks to the growing network of Thermador connected partners such as Amazon Alexa, Josh.ai and IFTTT, all of which were present in displays throughout the IBS booth. There were also engaging demonstrations that showed how the Glass Care Center’s timer can be synced up to Sonos to play the user’s song of choice via Home Connect™.
