Our “Thermador Ultimate Kitchen Experience” event held June 26-27 brought together 16 of the most influential culinary and kitchen design bloggers from around the country. They were among the first to tour, experience and cook in the newly opened Thermador Design & Experience Center in Irvine, Calif.
Along with being able to rub shoulders with their fellow foodies, this group of trend setters sprung at the opportunity to have a full day of Thermador luxury kitchen appliances at their disposal. At no other point was this more utilized than during the interactive lunch segment, where Thermador Executive Chef Kyle Jakobi opened up his huge culinary playground to all.
To no one’s surprise, our newest toy, the Freedom Induction Cooktop, stole the show. It was the first time a group such as this was given an opportunity to cook on this game-changing appliance, which at the time had yet to be made available to purchase.
Of course, other Thermador products shared some of the spotlight in our new 17,000 square-foot showroom, such as our newly revamped and rethought Freedom Collection of refrigeration appliances, our new Star-Sapphire Dishwasher and, of course, our flagship appliance, the 48-inch Pro Grand Steam Range.
Our rich history in the American kitchen — displayed in no better way than in our industry-leading line of built-in wall-ovens — also was a hot topic.
When it came to cooking, it certainly helped that our guests were cooks in their own right.
Everyone loved the food photography workshop put together by Todd and Diane – the White on Rice Couple:
By the time the event was finished, the bloggers had plenty to tweet and blog about regarding their experience — here are some highlights:
