If you are hosting an extravagant Halloween celebration this weekend, there are many delectable dishes and sweets that celebrate the fun of this holiday in a slightly more sophisticated way. These fresh pears wrapped in caramel, dipped in white chocolate and drizzled with dark chocolate will be a gorgeous accent to your themed tablescape, and a hit with your guests.
Ingredients
5 Seckel Pears
5 whole sheets of The Original Caramel Apple Wrap
12 ounces Wilton White Chocolate Melts
6 ounces Wilton Dark Chocolate Melts
Pre-heat your Thermador oven to 200Â F. Make sure to thoroughly wash and dry the pears before beginning any prep work. Remove the sheets of paper between each caramel wrap and cut a tiny hole for the pear stem to poke through the middle of the wrap. Press the caramel sheet around the sides of each pair, carefully stretching it to make sure it covers the whole fruit. Cut off any excess caramel and place each pear on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet. Heat the pears in your oven for five minutes. Once you remove the pan from the oven cool the pears in your refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.
Put the white chocolate into a bowl and melt it in the microwave in 30 second intervals until the mixture is completely melted. Stir in between each interval. Dip the chilled pears in the melted white chocolate and then return them to the lined bking sheet. Place the newly dipped pears in the refrigerator for five minutes to chill. Put the dark chocolate into a bowl and melt it in the microwave the same way you did with the white chocolate. You can then use a fork or a squeeze bottle to drizzle the dark chocolate around the pears.
Serve with coffee or tea and enjoy the fall festivities!
