After months of intense deliberation on the spectacular entries into the Thermador Kitchen Design Challenge, we are thrilled to announce that we have selected the 16 regional winners! This year’s challenge was more competitive than ever and the quality of the kitchen entries submitted is truly outstanding. Congratulations to these remarkable kitchen designers, builders and architects that demonstrated creativity, talent and genius in their designs.
Thermador is proud to showcase and celebrate the incredible work of the designers and trade professionals who have featured Thermador appliances as the centerpiece of their stunning kitchen designs built in 2012-2013. We selected two winners from each of our six regions, one representing best contemporary/modern design, and one representing best traditional/transitional design. Additionally, four winners across all regions were selected for best use of built-in Thermador refrigeration.

Each of these regional winners will be awarded a $2,500 cash prize and an all-expenses-paid trip to Southern California for an exclusive celebratory gala, where the three national winners will be announced and more cash prizes given away. We look forward to announcing our national winners after the September 29th gala.
Building off the highly successful previous Kitchen Design Challenge that featured homes built in 2010-2011, this year’s contest was expanded to include more opportunities to win and more incentives for entering, including a total prize value of over $225,000, with cash prizes totaling $100,000 as well as marketing and promotion and an all-expenses paid trip for two to a magnificent celebration weekend. The field of regional winners was doubled from 8 to 16 because we wanted to celebrate even more brilliant kitchen designs, and the contest was also expanded to include submissions from design firms in addition to individual designers.
We would like to thank all who submitted their impressive Thermador kitchens into the Kitchen Design Challenge. We encourage you to visit our blog in the coming weeks for more announcements on how Thermador will be celebrating some of our other favorite kitchens that were submitted but not selected as regional winners.
