Thermador's Malte Peters, a senior product manager of cooking, displays the Steam & Convection Oven at CES.

Earlier this month Thermador was named an award winner at the Consumer Electronics Show for its recently introduced Steam & Convection Oven.

Officially an International CES Innovations 2011 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree, Thermador was in Las Vegas in early January to accept the award, as well as showcase the steam oven to the media during the CES Unveiled event, open strictly to the press and award winners.

Thermador was the sole kitchen-appliance manufacturer honored in this category.

“Thermador is honored to be recognized as a major appliance-category innovator by such a prominent industry group as the Consumer Electronics Association,” said Zach Elkin, director of the Thermador brand. “The new Steam & Convection Oven embodies more than 75 years of kitchen innovations by Thermador and the brand’s commitment to provide culinary enthusiasts the tools they need to achieve gourmet cooking results at home.”

The Steam & Convection Oven was featured by a handful of media outlets, including NY1. View NY1’s news report below, or click here to read the entire story. And scroll down for more photos!
